Hemorrhoid Cleanser / Lotion

Why spend money on those expensive cleansing pads, when you can make your own formula so much cheaper?

2 ounces witch hazel
1 ounce vegetable glycerin
10 drops geranium
10 drops cypress

Mix all ingredients and store in an air tight container.

To Use: Apply with a cotton pad as needed.

Basic Bath Bombs

Basic Bath Bombs

½ cup Citric Acid
½ cup Cornstarch
1 cup Baking soda
½ tsp Borax

3 Tbl Carrier Oil
1 Tbl Herbal Infusion (Rose or Lavender to add color and scent)
½ tsp EO blend of your choice (50 drops)

4 Bath Bomb Molds, 2¼-inch round

Combine dry ingredients in a glass bowl, mixing well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Then slowly whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients to blend thoroughly. As soon as the mixture holds together, pack it into the molds. Try to overfill the molds. The bombs should be ready to be demolded in about 3-6 hours. Carefully demold the bombs and lay them out on wax paper to dry for 24 hours. Turn and let them dry completely (2-4 days).

Floral Facial Mist

Floral Facial Mist – all skin types

1/2 cup lavender infusion
3 drops rosewood essential oil
3 drops chamomile essential oil
1 drop neroli essential oil
1 drop rose essential oil

Blend essential oils and allow to “marry” for several days. Make lavender infusion, cool and strain. Add essential oil blend and lavender infusion in spray bottle. Shake gently to blend.

To Use: Shake well before use. Spray your skin throughout the day to replenish moisture lost to the atmosphere.

Refreshing Shower Gel

1 cup herbal infusion made from 2 TBSP marjoram & 2 TBSP eucalyptus
½ cup liquid soap
1 TBSP vegetable glycerin

Make herbal infusion and allow it to cool. Place in glass bowl and mix with the liquid soap and glycerin. Pour solution into clean dry container with pour spout.

Aromatherapy Skin Toner

Skin Toner, suitable for all skin types

3/4 cup witch hazel

1/4 vegetable glycerin

1 tablespoon honey

Essential Oil Blend: 13 drops lavender oil, 5 drops palmarosa oil, 5 drops rosewood oil, 2 drops rose oil

Combine all ingredients in an air tight container.

To Use: Use as you would any commercially prepared facial toner.

Aromatherapy Banana Facial

Banana Facial (all skin types)

1 ripe banana, mashed

1 tablespoon almond oil

Essential Oil (EO) blend as follows: 3 drops lavender oil, 2 drops rosewood oil, 1 drop chamomile oil, 1 drop neroli oil, 1 drop rose oil

Blend ingredients together to form a smooth paste.  Use immediately.

TO Use: Apply to clean skin (avoid eye area), leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water and apply a facial tonic followed by a facial treatment cream or oil.

Aromatherapy Corn Meal Body Scrub

Cornmeal Body Scrub

½ cup cornmeal (blue, yellow or white)

½ cup oatmeal

1/8 cup dried lavender

1/8 cup dried rose petals

Pulverize herbs into a fine powder, using blender, then add corn meal and oatmeal and blend well. Store in airtight container.

To Use: Apply to wet skin. Massage in circular movements away from the heart. Rinse well. Pat dry, and apply your favorite lotion as a finish.

Aromatherapy Bath Crystals

Bath Crystals

1 cup Dead Sea or Epsom salt (or a blend)

2 tablespoons apricot kernel oil

2 tablespoons vegetable glycerin

Essential Oil (EO) blend of your choice

Add all ingredients to a dark glass container. Shake or mix well until oils are thoroughly absorbed. Then add EO blend.

To Use: Add a cup to the tub under warm running water and wait for them to dissolve when you step in.

Aromatherapy Relaxing Bath Oil Recipe

Aromatherapy Relaxing Bath Oil Recipe

2 ounces sweet almond oil

12 drops lavender essential oil

6 drops rose essential oil

2 drops tea tree essential oil

Combine all ingredients in a dark glass bottle, blending essential oils first and allowing them to “marry” for a few days. To use, add half of the contents to a warm bath.
